One quick update....sadly, our youngest team member, Faith, is no longer able to come on the trip. We'll miss her and look forward to sharing our experience with her when we return.
Which reminds me what missions often requires -- FLEXIBILITY! We've encountered faulty duffel bags, a loss of a team member, work-related obstacles, and power/Internet outages at our host's home and town. But GOD IS BIGGER THAN ALL OF THIS!
In response, God provided a newly found duffel bag (thank you Mauro!), acceptance of our reduced team size, perseverance, and restored power/Internet at David & Christine's home. Yet, we'll remain flexible, and look God for provision continually.
That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong. 2 Cor 12:10
We would love prayers for:
- learning Creole, especially friendly phrases
- translation and good communication of knitting lessons to the Haitian ladies
- God's presence during our Bible story-telling times with the ladies
- traveling mercies
